ReyLight Pineapple Mini modification for twice the throw!

I was inspired to swap a green Osram KP CSLNM1.F1 emitter into a ReyLight Pineapple Mini after seeing a post by Shawn where Jackson had swapped a white NM1 emitter in.

A Pineapple Mini normally comes with a Nichia 219B or a Nichia 519A emitter. These are great for EDC use. High CRI. Warm CCT. Delta u, v is almost 0. But the beam only throws around 60 metres.

NM1 emitters are known by torch enthusiasts for producing a narrow throwy beam. The trade off is that they have a lower CRI.

Throw

I took lux measurements with a UNI-T UT383BT at 30 seconds.

100% was measured at two metres for the Nichia 519A.
